This site is primarily reserved for members of
the IPSSC member community and serves as a networking resource and
information exchange. Full access to this site requires registration
and membership to IPSSC.
So what is the IPSSC?
IPSSC or as it is known in full, the Institute of
Protection Specialists & Security Contractors, is a global
fraternal membership organization that provides training, support and
information services for personal protection specialists ("Bodyguards")
and private security contractors ("Private Military Operators"). Our
aims are to set and maintain the highest standards of professionalism
within the private security industry, and to provide proper training,
support and information services to our members worldwide. IPSSC
features a full cadre of instructors who are real-world operators
within the industry - unlike many other "bodyguard organizations" that
feature world reknowned, famous "instructors" that are so known for the
articles that they write for popular Gun Magazines or Soldier of
Fortune type magazines (not that there is anything wrong with any of
these publications), the members of IPSSC's Instructor Cadre are real
deal operators with years of experience in their chosen field of
expertise.
So what does IPSSC do?
We provide training services, support services that
include access to a worldwide professional contact network, member
benefits that include highly discounted services such as vehicle rental
through the worlds largest rental companies, hotel accommodation and
other travel related discounts and we provide information and
intelligence services in order to provide members with global
information regarding current affairs and issues that potentially
affect the ability of our members to operate efficiently and in safety.
So who can join IPSSC?
In a word - Anyone - with a few exceptions...
There
are some prerequisites for persons wishing to join IPSSC: One must be
at least 18 years of age, must be free from criminal convictions and
must either already be employed within the industry as a protection
specialist or private security operator OR must be someone who wishes
to pursue a career within the industry as either a bodyguard or PSC.
In addition to these requirements, all IPSSC members MUST agree to
abide by the IPSSC professional code of ethics.
There are two levels of membership to the IPSSC which are as follows:
Annual Membership
Annual membership costs just $25.00 USD per
year which, is paid yearly in advance. The usual method of payment is
through PayPal® using either an existing PayPal® account or a major credit card (if you do not have a PayPal® account).
Life Membership ***NEW***
Life Members of IPSSC only ever make one
dues payment for life. The Life Member dues payment is just $250.00
and, as a free gift to you for joining as a life member you receive an
IPSSC coffee mug and IPSSC printed t-shirt.
So how do I join?
Simple... if you wish to take annual membership,
simply click on the "Subscribe" button to the bottom right hand side of
thepage then follow the instructions. One your membership application
and subscription have been set up in PayPal, your account will be
immediately activated and your ID card and member documents will be
sent to you.
Should you wish to join as a Life Member then currently you should send an e-mail expressing your wish to join IPSSC as a life member then await further instructions.
