Important information regarding IPSSC Course Attendance Fees

Effective IMMEDIATELY, IPSSC has a new course fee schedule.  It costs IPSSC approximately $15,000 to $20,000 US Dollars to run the IPSSC Bodyguard Skills Course (This amount is determined by location, venue costs, available resources, instructor salary, etc.) the usual cost being $15,000.  Therefore, effective immediately, IPSSC will no longer charge the individual attendee the usual $2,500.00 US Dollar fee to attend the course and likewise, the 10% discount normally afforded to members will not apply to the course either.  Instead, there is now a mandatory minimum attendance of 10 students which will cost the individual student between $1,500 and $2,000 US Dollars to attend (usually $1,500).  This fee assumes a course with the minimum attendance of ONLY 10 students being met.

The more students that attend a course, the less each student will have to pay to attend.  Thus a course of say, 20 students, will cost each student only  $750 to $1,000 US Dollars (usually $750).  In order to maintain a high standard of training and to keep student:instructor ratios at a manageable level, the course attendance maximum is capped at 30 students per course... this will mean only $500 to $650 US Dollars (usually $500) to attend the FULL 6-DAY COURSE... I challenge anyone to find a similar course anywhere in the world for that little!!

IMPORTANT: Until otherwise notified, one should assume that the minimum cost to attend the course will be $1,500 however, as more students register for, and pay in full for attending a specific course, then if a student has already paid $1,500 to attend and the actual attendance for a course is more than 10 students, then upon attending the course on registration day that student will receive a refund for the difference.  In other words, if you paid $1,500 to attend based on only 10 persons attending but on the first day of the course there are actually 20 students attending, you WILL receive a refund of 50% of your fees so you will end up having paid only $750 US Dollars to attend.

This new fee structure has been put into effect as it has become evident that whilst many people wish to attend our training courses, very few seem to have the financial means to do so and as such, we wanted to come up with a fairer fee schedule that would cover our costs yet at the the same time, would make the course more affordable to those wishing to attend.  The current (new) fee schedule seems to be the fairest method of doing so and even if only 10 students attend, we feel that the fee of $1,500 US Dollars for attending the course that we provide is still a very fair price.

Please note that, just as before, the cost to attend our course covers all training, use of equipment, light refreshments and certification through IPSSC only.  Hotel accommodation (heavily discounted for current members), travel costs to and from the course venue and meals are the responsibility of the individual student, however, we do try to keep everything together as a group in order to take advantage of group discounts offered by local vendors and thus reduce the costs to you, the student.

Respectfully,

IPSSC Administration.
